Isabella Leong & Richard Li Split

When everyone thought she will become part of the Li family soon, Isabella Leong's recent statement definitely surprised a lot of people.

The actress released a statement today to the media, announcing her break up with 44-year-old Hong Kong billionaire Richard Li:

"In the beginning of a new year, I wish you all every success. Now in 2011, I will be in a new stage in life. I broke up with Mr. Li. We once had a happy time together. We will raise our children together. It's our goal to let them grow happily and with good health. Hope this statement can end outsiders' endless guesses on our relationship."

Leong's manager Michelle Lo confirmed the break-up and expressed they won't hold a press conference on this matter.

Leong stepped into the showbiz when she was still a tween. She became a popular starlet in 2005 and starred in several films of the year, including "Isabella," where she earned Directors' Week Award-Best Actress at the 27th Porto International Film Festival.

But she decided to just be a regular when she met then boyfriend Richard Li. She gave birth to a son at age 21, and gave birth to twin sons last year in San Fransisco. She spent most of her time with her sons and rarely make public appearances.

Recently it was reported Li's father Li Ka-shing, who is among the top 20 richest people in the world, finally approved the two's relationship and ready to arrange her back to live in Hong Kong. Now Leong has announced her split with Li, things definitely changed.

Leong's manager expressed Leong never announce leaving the showbiz. As for when would she make her comeback, that is not an important thing she is considering now.

The 3-year-old plays the son of mom in real life Cecilia Cheung in director Wong Jing's upcoming film <無價之寶> [rough translation: Priceless Treasure], which to be released this summer. Many people fight to get Lucas' first film performance, but Wong's special relationship with the Tse family advanced him to take Lucas' "first time."

"I filmed the first film of his grandfather and father. His first film should let me handle it, too," said Wong.

Others said Lucas' pay is nearly millions, but Wong disclosed it's only ice cream.

"It's a cup of ice cream," Wong said. "The time he is actually filming is only 2 days. Also I promised to release the film in summer, so the whole family can watch it together."

The film stars Ronald Cheng and Cecilia Cheung. The story begins with a "treasure map." The leads are involved in a gang fight and they end up on a mysterious island. This is should be a nice movie families can watch together during the summer.

Raymond Wong Practices Being a Dad

The dad-to-be seems to have been practicing a lot, the baby behaved well and fell asleep quickly. As for the sex of his baby and due date, he is still keeping it a secret: "I'll film until July. Then I'll prepare to be a dad."

He said his wife likes girls better because it's enough to take care of a boy like him; she'll go 'crazy' if their kid is a boy. He also said good friend Jack Wu taught him how to bring cam recorder inside the delivery room so he can record when the baby is being delivered.

Sonija Kwok to Wed At the End of the Year

Rumors said Sonija Kwok's action choreographer boyfriend took special care of her, that's how he touched her heart. Then later rumors said the couple is rushing marriage in April because Sonija is pregnant. But none of them are true. Here we have the actress telling the real story herself. One thing we sure is, it's all fated.

It was reported Sonija and her boyfriend Zhu Shaojie's close interaction on the filming set of Mainland drama "Palace" made them become lovers, but actually they weren't too close at work. Sonija's role didn't require that much action scenes; even if she needed assistance, it was Zhu's assistant choreographer who helped out. So how did they really get to know each other?

"A few days before we were done filming, someone said he would introduce a guy to me," said Sonija. "I joked, 'Okay! Then ask whether he dares to hold my hand!' Since I'm not young anymore, and has some fame, not many people dared to pursue me."

Sonija didn't know the guy she was being introduced to will become her Mr. Right. Although she was introduced to some people the past years, but none were right matches, which made her well-prepared to become a "remaining woman." But this changed when she met Zhu. She dined with him another day and it was quite embarrassing start.

"We didn't know what to say. We said goodbye after the dinner."

Two days after their first dinner together, Sonija had to return to Hong Kong to film a new drama. Zhu was there at the airport and brought her 100 red roses. Who isn't touched by 100 red roses? Because she couldn't bring the flower bouquet to the plane, she only took one flower out. This was when they decided to give it a try.

However, they were experiencing a distant relationship; she was in Hong Kong and he was in other places. Their only communication was via phone, text messages, and Skype. Although it was like that for more than 3 months, but the relationship still went well.

"We had good communications. It felt right. I like how he is just like me, like to stay at home. Plus we haven't date for several years, and have been waiting for a right match, so we hit it off quickly."

After filming new drama <抉擇男女>, Sonija finally got to enjoy being in love. She is currently on a vacation with Zhu and even decided to become Mrs. Zhu at the end of the year.

"I went to Mainland and met his family. That day he knelt down with a diamond ring and proposed. I was very moved and dropped tears. He is simple, practical, good to his family, and hardworking. I feel very comfortable loving him. I can say what I want to him. This is the simple happiness."

Sonija is planning out her wedding now engaged to Zhu,. It was originally set to be on April, but she doesn't want to prove the media really guessed it right, so she moves it to at the end of this year.

"We would invite close friends and relatives to our wedding. I don't want to make it like a show. Then we would return to Mainland and have dinner with his family."

Sonija will continue her career as an actress. As for having kids, it's a must to the 36-year-old.

"My mom always urges me to have kids. My fiance loves kids, too," she said sweetly. "So it's hard to not right?"

The couple seem to be fated to be together---they actually met each other already in 2000. Sonija was filming "A Step Into the Past" with Louis Koo and Zhu was the stunt double at that time. They even took a photo together as a group. Who knew they would meet again and even decide to be together?

Guidelines When Writing/Translating

Kay's Entertainment's been with you for more than a year now! 'They' say I did at least 1,000 articles during this time, which totally surprised me...

So how exactly do I pick things to write/translate? You can take a look at the following:

News: major events, critical controversy, breaking news, weddings, deaths, babies, clear-ups, new-found/big discovery, "interesting". (absolutely no repeats*)

Interviews: provides new info, only once in a while for 1 artist, generally I would like to pick on my own. (absolutely no repeats)

*There are different newspapers out there reporting the same thing. Artists will be interviewed by different companies. Trying to avoid duplicates.

What I'm NOT writing: news just trying to sell the brand/product, rumors**, other authors' analysis and personal opinion, promotional articles, events/stories that haven't been confirmed and just at the making-up stage.

**I'll introduce rumors on Twitter & Facebook. Believe them or not believe them, you decide.

Use of Twitter & Facebook: I'll post the latest on my Twitter & Facebook, including brief news. So they're quite important!

I accept translation requests most of the time. Even if I'm not posting here, I will still give you a summary. Guidelines just like above.

Please understand I'm doing this on my personal time and it's totally nonprofit (I have my life, too...). Sorry I can't satisfy all your needs. Hope you like what's here. Thank you very much!

Bosco Wong & Myolie Wu Out Together Again

Last time he went to see cars with her, this time she went shopping with him.

Bosco Wong and Myolie Wu were spotted "holding hands" on a date earlier. Last night they were once again seen out together, but this time another woman was with them. The couple saw reporters when they walked out from a store. The bare-faced Myolie put down her head immediately, trying to hide her face. In contrast, her rumored boyfriend was smiling the whole time.

They shopped at another store later and Myolie finally got something she wants. She friendly waved goodbye to reporters with smiles. Bosco then told reporters they're leaving.

On a phone interview later the day, Bosco expressed the "lightbulb" that night was his stylist. He was shopping for new clothes for promotion events and TV appearance.

"I have to go to different promotions later, like for my new drama 'Grace Under Fire.' Then I will be on Grasshopper's new variety show as guest. Plus I was in Mainland the past few months, just shopping for some new clothes that night."

Reporters then asked whether they are going to make public of their relationship, he denied and stressed they are friends again.

So is it really a normal date with friends or a way to gain exposure to promote dramas? Either way, it's a win-win.

'Fun With Liza & Gods' Drama Costume Fitting

The success of variety show "Fun With Liza & Gods" brought new job opportunities to hosts Liza Wang, Louis Yuen, Johnson Lee, and Wong Cho Lam. After holding a concert last year, now they moved on to their own television series--<荃加福祿壽探案>. [rough translation for now: Fun With Liza & Gods Detective Cases]

The four hosts attended to the drama's costume fitting yesterday. The drama tells a detective story happened in the 60s, so the drama's fashion style is quite retro. The three "Gods" said they group as one this time and challenge other TV Kings to win big in the Anniversary Awards.

"We three can't be better than just one Wayne Lai?," joked Louis. "Wayne, Moses Chan, and Raymond need to be careful this year."

Besides the four main characters, other actors are making their guest-appearance as well. Toby Leung, Christine Kuo, Aimee Chan, Linda Chung, Ella Koon, Elvina Kong, and King Kong, etc are confirmed to join the cast.

Toby plays Liza's daughter in the drama. Ella plays a maid and falls in love at one sight with Johnson. As for Aimee, who looked like a mad ghost at yesterday's costume fitting, she plays a married woman whose husband takes all her money away; that's why she has to scare people with that look.

Kate Tsui Denies Always NG During Filming

Actors from "Forensic Heroes 3" attended to the blessing ceremony of their drama yesterday. Kate Tsui was reported always NG during filming because she didn't prepare enough. Yesterday she calmly denied the reports and called herself a serious actress.

"Filming lasted until 6AM. It was windy and cold that day. I NG because the wind messed up my hair. I don't have that much NG during filming. I still filmed during New Years even when I had a fever. I'm a very serious actress."

TV King Wayne Lai supported Kate and said even he would NG: "Every actor is prepared for their part, but of course we would NG, because scripts are quite hard to remember. Even I NG!"

As for Ron Ng, he expressed he just lost his iPad; he left his iPad in the restroom when he was washing hands. Asked whether he is afraid of intimate photos leaking, he denied having those photos and the most valuable thing is actually his scripts: "In fact my scripts are the most valuable. Wong Cho Lam: No Sex Before Marriage

Wong Cho Lam appeared at the taping of talk show program "Fan and Kam" yesterday and talked about his trip to Australia for "Last Paradise Series." It was raining hard earlier in Australia, but when Cho Lam arrived, it became sunny, and that earned him the nickname "Son of the Sun."

The TVB artist went along with his mom but not girlfriend Leanne Li. The host asked why didn't he brought her along so she could learn how to take care of him, and Cho Lam joked she is good enough.

"Good job at work and also in the kitchen!," said Cho Lam.

A reporter then humorously asked whether she is also good on the bed. Cho Lam stressed again there will be no sex before marriage.

"We really have a pair of purity rings. We pledged to monogamous relationship and abstinence until married."

Then when would they get married?

"Depends on God. Wait until she films more series and has a better career!"

Wayne Lai Confident in His 'Chok Look'

Even TV King Wayne Lai likes to be "chok."

TVB's new game show <華麗明星賽> (All Star Glam Exam) was taping its first episode yesterday and hosts Grasshopper invited Wayne Lai, Anita Yuen, Christine Ng, and Michael Fitzereld Wong as guests. For the warm-up games, guests have to pose along the music being played in front of 8 different cameras. TV King Wayne was being very "chok" at the game. Christine went wild, catwalking and taking off her jacket to do funny faces. It was a little messy for Anita, where she had to fix her shirt during the game because of big movements.

Seemed to enjoy posing "chok looks," Wayne said he was very into it. But asked whether he can be more "chok" than Raymond Lam, he humbly said: "I think we are about the same. I'm an idol now!"

*Again, what is 'chok'? It comes from the word 'choking' and now becomes a word to describe people posing with a cool, cute, handsome, etc expressions, trying to capture fans' hearts and look good on-screen. (There's a pretty nice video on YouTube that probably explains even better XD)

Penny Tai's Money Stolen By Close Friend (Now Confirmed to be Singer Jet Yi Jie Qi)

The suspect
A large amount of money was fraudulently withdrawn from singer Penny Tai's bank account. The case was solved as the suspect, who is a close friend of Dai, admitted the crime.

Tai recently discovered $300,000NTD were withdrawn from her bank account 3 days in the row; however, she did not lose her ATM card.

The 32-year-old immediately reported it to the police and viewed the surveillance camera. She later posted the video on her Facebook and called fans for help.

Just a day after Tai posted the video, she received a phone call from a male friend (now confirmed to be Malaysian singer Jet Yi Jie Qi) and he admitted the crime. They went to the police the next day and he returned the money.

According to Yi, he needs money recently and decided to use Tai for help. He secretly took out the ATM card from her bag and went to get the money; then he put it back when he returned. He tried passwords Tai used often for her computer and accounts when withdrawing the money.

Because Yi is a close friend of hers, Tai could not believe it and was very upset. However, she decided to forgive and no further action will be taken against her friend.

Some people believe the incident is Tai's way of promoting herself. Tai denied this on Facebook and expressed her helplessness.

"I'm not releasing an album right now, no need for me to promote. Thanks for hurting me again just after this incident!"

Michael Tse Denies Being 'Chok'

Another TVB artist accused of trying to be 'chok'?

In his latest drama "The Rippling Blossom," Michael Tse plays a sushi chef who seeks perfectionism and cares a lot about his profession. He is seen frowning a lot and rarely smiles in the drama. Netizens joke that his cool face can be compared to Raymond Lam, who is said to have the number 1 'chok look' in TVB.

However, Michael denied being 'chok' and said he is probably just looking at people from the sides.

Thinking back days when he filmed "The Rippling Blossom," Michael said now he has more knowledge about eating sushi. He went back to the place where they filmed in Japan and challenged eating a bowl of super spicy and hot ramen at a restaurant. He also exposed when they were filming in studios, many artists would pay a visit and eat sashimi, especially Jessica Hsuan.

"Jessica always come over to see if there is anything good to eat."

*What is 'chok'? It comes from the word 'choking' and now becomes a word to describe people posing with a cool, cute, handsome, etc expressions, trying to capture fans' hearts.

Raymond Lam is Mad At Photos Leak

Raymond Lam and Charmaine Sheh's upcoming drama <花花世界花家姐> (rough translation: Colorful World of Sister Fa) has not been released yet, however, photos taken during filming were already leaked online.

The drama's release date is not confirmed but lately a fan has been posting unreleased photos of the drama online, which would have been posted on the drama's official page later on. These photos include Raymond in a jungle dress and Raymond self-snapping with Charmaine.

Drama photos would usually release by the external affairs department two weeks before the drama premiers. TVB is currently in an investigation to figure out who leaks these photos. It would take legal actions if personal profit is involved. However, the situation is different if Raymond's fans are using them just to promote their idol's drama.

Raymond himself is mad at the photo leak, because his surprises for audiences are exposed now. His partner Charmaine is also disappointed and hopes the company would take this incident seriously.

[Kay says: fans are happy, but no the creative team. I don't think that fan should've put those photos up. & I feel like she doesn't think she is wrong at all. Sharing is good...but...sigh. I went and check, there are ALOT of them. The surprise is ruined for me, do you still want to be surprised? If so, wait!]

Selina Ren's Fiance Drops Tears During TV Interview

After her father and sister were interviewed on television, Selina Ren's fiance Richard Chang appeared on a TV interview yesterday.

Making his first TV program appearance, Chang talked about Selina's side of story and described the explosive scene was not seriously planned out. The S.H.E member was actually very nervous on the day of filming the explosive scene. There were no water, stunt double, rehearsal, and not even the basic fire equipment. Looking at the videos Selina's assistant took before the accident, Selina and her partner Yu Hao Ming were standing at the door of the warehouse. Already scared to death, Selina eventually walked in while holding Yu's hand.

"Selina was very scared but she didn't dare to speak out," Chang said. "They just took their first step, and the explosion already happened. No time to even run away!"

The immediate treatment after the accident was a joke, too. The heavily burned Selina and Yu were sent to a nearby small hospital, but the hospital refused to treat them; it was Selina who called an ambulance from a specialized hospital to the set. Only a stretcher was available when the ambulance arrived and Yu generously let Selina to lay on it. Chang expressed Selina is very grateful of Yu's action.

"During the one hour ride to the hospital, Yu was encouraging her. A little black person encouraging another black person, Selina didn't forget about this part."

The singer's legs are sacrificed in this brutal accident. Other than the bottom of her feet and toes, all other areas of her feet are ruined. Chang said the singer cannot sleep well after the accident because of pain. She can only bend her knees 90 degrees. She should be able to walk fine in half of a year if she continues physiotherapy. However, still a long way to go.

"I've been thinking what I want the most during this period. Apology? Money? It's all meaningless. The thing [healthy Selina] I want can't return anymore," Chang sobbed. "I think it needs 20 years for scars and everything to be healed. Basically, she doesn't have sweat glands on her legs anymore."

Chang dropped tears three times on the show and cannot seem to let it go. He said Selina does not blame anyone, but sometimes on herself for being a coward.

"She said it's her fault, too. It might be alright she just say she is scared. She even blames herself for running too slowly. But I don't think it's her fault!"

It is said their wedding would be hold on April 1 as planned, however, Chang announced it would be delayed indefinitely and the decision is made by him and Selina.

"We've been discussing it. The longer it delays, the better she would recover. I hope she can be a pretty and happy bride on her big day."

Yoyo Mung Likes Being Called 'Mrs. Cheng'

TVB drama "Only You" to premier on February 21 and it held the first promotion yesterday. A drama about marriage and love, actors from the drama specially appeared as 11 couples and walked as newlyweds in wedding outfits.

Leads Kevin Cheng and Yoyo Mung were the last to appear, and everyone joked about Yoyo's relationship with boyfriend Ekin Cheng. Since Kevin's last name is also 'Cheng,' other actors kept shouting "Mrs. Cheng!" to Yoyo, and Yoyo didn't mind and kept smiling.

Yoyo felt it was fun to be called 'Mrs. Cheng' but it was quite hard to walk with a wedding dress. For her own wedding, she would like everything to be simple. She also has some ideas about her wedding dress.

"I want my dress to be two colors: black and white. But some people say it's not lucky. We'll see."

Other actresses who appeared in wedding gowns included Natalie Tong, Vivien Yeo, Leanne Li, and Jeanette Leung, and the sexiest and most attention-grabbing was Jeannette, whose 'career line' was very visible in her deep-v gown.

'The Rippling Blossom' Cast Holds Celebration Dinner

Rating of TVB drama "The Rippling Blossom" did well in its second week, receiving 30 points on average and peaking 33 points. Last night the cast held a celebration dinner and leads Michael Tse, Myolie Wu, and Julian Cheung (Chilam) attended. Celebrating good ratings of her drama, Myolie also cleared up a "sweet date" she had with Bosco Wong earlier.

"I wanted to buy a car, and he was just accompanying me," the actress said.

She didn't buy any in the end and asked whether she wants Bosco to buy it for her, she said with a smile: "Then it would be nice!"

While Myolie took this opportunity to explain earlier reports, her partner in the drama Chilam was promoting his upcoming concert last night. He expressed he is glad for the drama to have such good ratings during the holiday and would probably sing the theme song at his concert.

Married to two-time HK Film Award winner Anita Yuen, Chilam said his wife is a TV fan and she praises Myolie a lot. His son is also following the drama, and always asks him to make sushi. But Chilam doesn't know how to explain when his son asks about his relationship with Myolie in the drama.

"He asks me why I can be close with other girls. I told him because I'm an alien."

Linda Chung Accused of Spreading Flu in TVB

It's the flu season again and many people are catching the flu, including TVB artists. Many artists currently filming upcoming drama "九江十二坊" caught the flu, like leads Linda Chung, Sunny Chan, and Bowie Lam. As for the source of flu, Sunny exposed it's actually Linda.

"Linda was the first one to get sick, and she keeps working everyday. She is probably the one who spreads it out," he said.

In fact, Linda has been sick for more than a month. As for she is accused of spreading flu virus, she just treats it like a joke, but still worries whether she is the one who caused many people to get sick.

"They're all blaming on me now," she joked. "But it's true that I was the first one to get sick. Besides Sunny and Bowie, staff behind-the-scene are sick, too."

Although she already went to the doctors three times, she still didn't get any better and it's affecting her to speak during filming. Sunny is even worst: he can't speak.

"I lost my voice. I had to pretend I was speaking on-screen, then voice over later. Good that I'm alright now," the actor said.
