Stephen Chan Plans His Press Conference With 11 Counselors

After his release from last Friday, Stephen Chan has been asking advices from media officials, lawyers, etc to plan for his press conference. With the assistance of 11 counselors, yesterday he finally held this ultimate 5-minute conference to comment on reports from the past week. Facing hundreds of media, he expressed he underwent unexpected calamities and proved his innocence by saying "baffling transformations" and "reality can't be fake, fake can't be reality."

Chan didn't answer any question from reporters and didn't disclose any information according to the case. He revealed he is doing fine so far. He expressed the reason he wore a mask when he was arrested ICAC is because he had a shaving accident. The whole conference lasted only 5 minutes.

However, Chan's counselors once worried ICAC might not like a high-key press conference. Because Chan's very aware of his reputation and decided to do so anyways.

Most of "Chan's Eleven" gathered in a hotel in Kowloon to prepare for the press conference, including Wong He, Amigo Chui, Leo Ku, Lo Po Man, and others in total of 20 people.  Miss Y, who Chan sees as his mentor, called Chan often to discuss about how he should handle the crisis, but Chan worried ICAC might be wiretapping. He rather discuss outside of his house to prevent overhearing from others.

Wong He admitted he's part of the 11 counselors by phone yesterday: "Yes, I'm part of the group who plan for the press conference. I did give advise. (How do you think about Chan's performance?) Just like how he usually face life, work, and friend. (How does Chan feel after the conference?) No much difference. We planned this very carefully, using double of the time. The purpose is to satisfy what people wants to know."

Louis Cheung was asked about the incident yesterday and he told reporters: "I heard it on the radio. In fact I shouldn't talk about anything. As a friend, I'm glad to see his spirit is back." Asked did he give advise to the conference, he said: "No comment."
